Choice in a Pinny

Anna Lawson (b. 1958) is an artist working in Co. Durham. She practised Welfare Law before obtaining a BA (Hons) in Fine Art at UWE, Bristol in 1998 and has lectured at the University of Durham and other educational establishments. Coming from an artistic family, she runs a small business selling her images and those of her father Dr. Fenwick Lawson ARCA, from an e-commerce website. Her images will resonate with the vast majority of women who are all too familiar with the sometimes bewildering calls upon their femininity to problem solve, both on a practical and emotional level. Some are very specific and deal with life’s little ironies, the day-to-day incidents encountered in family life. They are a contemporary take on the human condition transcending the prevailing culture. www.anannaimage.com
