Biographical note: Andrew Burke is an Australian poet who started out in the mid-sixties as a ‘beat’ poet in response to Kerouac, Ginsberg, Ferlinghetti, et al. Since then he has dabbled in a million styles, and written in many genre short stories, plays, songs, literary journalism and criticism, etc. To this day he believes you can write poetry in all genre, not just verse. He has had six books published, and teaches at Edith Cowan University at times, where he is also writing a novel for his PhD. His former wife, three children, daughter-in-law and two grandchildren also feature in his work. |
